حُوتٌ مِنَ الأَهـوَالِ يَلتَقِمُ الوَرَى
وَيَذُوبُ مَعنَى النُّورِ في ظُلُمَـاتِهِ
وَالكَونُ بَحرٌ، ظُلمَـةٌ في ظُلمَـةٍ
لَكِـنَّ بَوحَ القَلـبِ في خَفَقَـاتِهِ:
سُبحَـانَهُ رَبِّي ، إِلَهَـاً وَاحِــدًا
العَفــوُ وَالغُفـرَانُ مِـن آَيَاتهِ

يِا رَبُّ إِنِّي قَدْ ظَلَمـتُ، وَغَـرَّنِي
حِلمُ الحَلِيمِ، طَمِعتُ في رَحَمَـاتِهِ
قَد جِئتُ بِاستِغفَارِ مُوسَى ضَارِعًا
وَطَلَبتُ نُورَ اللهِ مِـنْ مِشكَــاتِهِ
نُورٌ عَلَى نُورٍ، وَفَضــلٌ سَابِغٌ
تَتَقَاصــرُ الأَعمَـارُ دُونَ هِبَاتِهِ
مِفتَاحُـهُ استِغفَارُنَا، مِعــرَاجُهُ..
رُوحٌ تُوَحِّــدُ رَبَّهَــا في ذَاتِهِ
وَتُقِرُّ بِالشَّطَطِ الجَمُـوحِ، وَتَرتَقِي
بِالتَّـوبَةِ العُظمــَى إِلَى عَتَبَاتِهِ

قُلْ يَا عِبَادًا أَســرَفُوا لا تَقنَطُوا
فِــرُّوا إِلَى الرَّحمَنِ في نَفَحَاتِهِ
تَستَغفِرُ الأَروَاحُ في أَسحَــارِهَا
وَيَذُوبُ هَذَا القَلــبُ في صَلَوَاتِهِ

 
Repentance

A whale of horrors devours the people,
the meaning of light melts in its darkness
The universe is a sea, darkness in darkness
but the heart’s revelation in its beats:
Glory be to Him, my Lord, one God
Pardon and forgiveness are among His gifts

O Lord, I have wronged,
the forbearance of the Forbearing One
deceived me, I coveted His mercy.
I have come by the supplication of Moses,
supplicating and asked for the light
of Allah from His niche( ).
Light upon light, and abundant grace,
Ages are too short without His great gifts
to count and thank Him for them.

Its key is our supplication for forgiveness,
its ascent is a soul that unifies its Lord
in His essence and acknowledges the wild excess,
and ascends with the greatest repentance
to His thresholds.

Say, O servants, who have transgressed,
do not despair,
Flee to the Most Merciful in His gifts
Souls seek forgiveness in their early hours
and this heart melts in his prayers
