Turkish Ambassador Visits Greater Cairo Library, Announces Cultural Donation

Turkish Ambassador to Cairo, Mr. Salih Mutlu Şen, expressed his pleasure at visiting the Greater Cairo Library, located in the historic Princess Semiha Palace—one of Cairo’s notable landmarks.
In a post shared on both X and Facebook, the Ambassador highlighted the historical significance of the site, noting that Princess Semiha was the sister of Princess Kazım, the original owner of the official residence of the Turkish Embassy. This reference underscores the deep-rooted cultural and historical ties between Egypt and Turkey.
Ambassador Şen also announced that the Turkish Embassy intends to donate a curated selection of significant and rare Turkish-language books to the Greater Cairo Library. The initiative aims to strengthen cultural exchange and reinforce the role of knowledge as a bridge between the two nations.
In his remarks, Ambassador Şen emphasized that “Culture is one of the most vital bridges connecting nations.”
